JP Beaty - CEO Captain William “Bill” Pinkney Legacy Foundation and Senior Producer Kelsher Communications, Inc.

An award-winning, industry veteran, JP has extensive experience in video production and special events promotion. He found his passion and launched a successful career in television production while earning his degree in education. While working at a television station in his hometown of Winston-Salem, NC, JP quickly moved up the ranks - as a Camera Operator, Video Technician and as Assistant Promotions Manager. JP moved to Atlanta and continued building his career as the Manager of two Public Access Studios and as a Video Instructor at The Art Institute of Atlanta.

In 1986 he stepped out on his own to establish Kelsher Communications, where he quickly made a name for his burgeoning production company by expanding the use of computer teleprompting for video productions and corporate speaking programs.

Over the past several years, JP’s primary expertise has been producing and directing television programs, corporate videos, documentaries and commercials. His work has taken him around the U.S. and abroad where he has provided an array of production services for many corporations, the City of Atlanta and historic icons, including Presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter, UN Ambassador and Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young, Dr. Maya Angelou, Mayor Shirley Franklin, Mrs. Coretta Scott King, Mrs. Rosalynn, Carter, Boxing Champ Evander Holyfield and many others.

More recently, his company has been actively developing promotional strategies for corporations seeking to target niche, recreational lifestyle and multi-cultural groups and organizations.

JP also contributes to the local community by producing videos for non-profit organizations and conducting video workshops for local students.

JP is a graduate of Winston Salem State University and is a veteran of the U.S. Navy; he leads by the mantra, “Start…and doors of opportunity will open that you never imagined.” With the support of Kelsher’s top-notch production team, JP has proudly been opening doors of opportunity for individuals and organizations for more than 30 years.
