Tony R. Kitchens is an accomplished author, entrepreneur, and philanthropist with a rich history of leadership and innovation. At the age of 21, Tony founded his first company in 1991, growing it over nearly three decades into a successful mid-sized business. Under his leadership, the company achieved over $110 million in sales, forging strong relationships with Fortune 500 companies, federal government agencies, and various nonprofits and educational institutions. In 2001, Tony joined the Alliance of Business Leaders and Entrepreneurs (ABLE), an elite group of 45 prominent Chicago business leaders. His leadership capabilities were quickly recognized, leading to his roles as Co-Chairperson of ABLE’s Technology Committee, Treasurer, Vice President, and eventually President from 2007 to 2009. During his tenure, Tony engaged with CEOs of major corporations and political leaders, including former U.S. Presidents, Governors, and Mayors. Tony is deeply committed to philanthropy. He and his wife launched a program to close the digital divide, providing computers and internet access to underserved families. In 2019, they funded the construction of the Anthony “TJ” Kitchens Technology Centre in Kimana Kenya Africa, named after their only son, equipped with modern technology to empower the local community. In addition to his business and philanthropic efforts, Tony has been a member of the Executive’s Club of Chicago and served on the board of La Rabida Children’s Hospital. After relocating to Puerto Rico in 2013, Tony started and operated a private charter boat business in the Virgin Islands. He collaborated closely with his dear friends, William “Bill” Pinkney and Migdalia Vachier Pinkney, who served as the Captain and Chef, respectively, on the sailing catamaran “Lady Dee,” named in honor of Tony’s late mother. He continued this venture until moving to Georgia in 2021. Tony’s passion for personal development is evident in his active involvement with Toastmasters International, where he received the prestigious “Triple Crown” award in 2021. He published his memoir, "The Gift of Pain," in the same year, sharing insights into his journey and the resilience that has driven his success. Tony also founded three new companies since moving to Georgia. In 2023, Tony was invited to join the Advisory Board for the Robin and Doug Shore Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center at Kennesaw State University. The Center fosters an entrepreneurial culture, supports early-stage companies, and encourages innovation. Tony R. Kitchens continues to inspire and motivate others through public speaking, consulting, and various platforms, urging people to dream big and overcome challenges to achieve their goals.   https://www.linkedin.com/in/tony-r-kitchens
